MERLO BEAN DRIVE - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Considering holding a doing a Merlo Bean Drive fundraiser for your community group, sporting club or school? Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) that address the most common Bean Drive questions.
Our Bean Drive Fundraiser is open to any Australian organisation that holds a valid ABN.

We’re happy to work with sporting clubs, primary and high schools, daycare centres, crochet clubs – you name it! To check your eligibility, please compete the expression of interest form below and we will be in touch.

We are currently only taking on Bean Drives in South East Queensland, this includes Greater Brisbane, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. We plan to expand interstate in early 2024.
Once your organisation is set up in our Bean Drive portal, you can start planning your Bean Drive event.

You will need to coordinate with our Bean Drive Account Manager to discuss suitable dates and event duration for your Bean Drive. They will work with you to customise the event according to your organisation's needs and preferences.

Based on the discussions with our Bean Drive Account Manager, you can plan and schedule your Bean Drive event. This may involve setting up a timeline, determining the duration of the event, and deciding on promotional activities to create awareness and generate participation.
For the best results, we recommend Bean Drive's run for a minimum 2 weeks, maximum 4 weeks. You can discuss dates and duration with our Bean Drive Account Manager.
Yes! We offer guidance on how to effectively promote your fundraiser. You'll have access to a library of tools, including pre-written text for emails and social media posts, images for newsletters, and social media graphics.

Once you've planned your Bean Drive event, you can start promoting it among your organisation's members or participants. This may involve using internal communication channels like emails, newsletters, social media, or printed flyers to spread the word and encourage participation.

There are four products available for sale to your community as part of our Bean Drive, as follows:

COFFEE BEANS - whole beans or ground

    COFFEE CAPSULE - 60 pack
    RRP $63 | BEAN DRIVE PRICE $57 [$10 per 60-pack goes to the organisation]
  • 60 pack of Forza Capsules
  • 60 pack of Organico Capsules.

    There is no limit to the number of items that any one community member can purchase as part of a Bean Drive. They are free to select beans, capsules or a combination of both - the more they order, the more your organisation makes.
  • The Bean Drive portal allows the fundraising organiser to set up events, including setting dates, setting a fundgraising goal and adding a coffee delivery address eg. your school office or clubhouse.

    Once set up, the dashboard details who and how much has been ordered, and how you are tracking against your fundraising goal. You have the ability to add up to 10 people to your Bean Drive portal.
    Bean Drive delivery process is as follows:

    Event Set-Up in Bean Drive Portal - During the setup process in the Bean Drive portal, you will be asked to nominate the location(s) where you would like the coffee orders to be delivered. This could be a classroom, school office, or organisation's reception.

    Collation of Bean Drive Orders - Once your Bean Drive begins, all orders will be collected and recorded in our system until the close date of the Bean Drive. Every order will come in a carry bag, with a clear label that details the name of the recipient.

    Coordination of Delivery - After the Bean Drive is complete, we will work with you to determine the best time for delivery. This may involve coordinating with the nominated location(s) for delivery logistics.

    Dispatch of Bean Drive Coffee - Typically, the dispatch of orders will occur within 4 business days from the completion of the Bean Drive. Our team will ensure that the orders are carefully packaged and sent out for delivery.

    Delivery of Orders - The Bean Drive Coffee orders will be delivered to the nominated location(s) as agreed upon setup. It is important to ensure that someone is available to receive the delivery and distribute the orders to the respective recipients, so our Account Manager will discuss with you a suitable delivery window.

    Please Note: Delivery timelines may vary depending on the location and other factors. Our team will strive to ensure timely delivery and will communicate any changes or updates throughout the process to ensure a smooth Bean Drive experience for you and your organisation.
    Absolutely! You can definitely organise a Bean Drive at your child's soccer club as well.

    To get started, you'll need to set up a new organisation, which will require providing an Australian Business Number (ABN). Once you have the necessary information and permissions, you can plan and execute a Bean Drive fundraiser for the soccer club just like you did at your school.

    Be sure to follow any guidelines or regulations set by the soccer club and obtain any required approvals before proceeding with the fundraiser. Good luck with your Bean Drive!
    When setting up your Bean Drive account, you will be asked to provide details on the Organisations bank account, for the Bean Drive profits to be paid into.

    At the completion of your event, you’re funds will be transferred to your organisations nominated bank account within 30 days of event completion.
